Modalities of educational courses and events in a catalog for a Federal Institute of São João da Boa Vista campus: a literature review

Expanding access to continuing education is a reason for public and community institutions to seek strategies to disseminate professional qualification opportunities in an accessible and organized way. In this context, the Instituto Federal Campus São João da Boa Vista proposed the systematization of these opportunities in a digital catalog in an extension curricularization project. However, the absence of integrative tools that organize information about educational courses and events makes training planning for local communities difficult. This article presents a review of the literature on teaching modalities, focusing on the construction of a digital catalog aimed at the São Joanense community. The methodology was based on the selection and analysis of six scientific articles obtained from open access databases, which directly addressed the proposed topic and which did justice to the guiding question. The results were organized into three axes: diversity of educational modalities, role of educational management and monitoring of graduates. The findings indicate that the integration between different formats of courses and events, combined with technological innovation and strategic management, can expand access to knowledge and qualify the training offer. It is concluded that a structured digital catalog is a viable and promising solution to promote educational inclusion.
